Looking to create a group of backpackers in Reno who enjoy exploring the surrounding area. We will be doing mostly weekend 2-day, 1 night hikes with plans for 2-3 longer trips over the course of the summer. An average hike will be 3-8 miles one way to a remote lake on Saturday, a stay overnight and return hike on Sunday.

Geocaching (You pronounce it Geo-cashing, like cashing a check) is a fun high-tech scavenger hunt/treasure hunting game using GPS technology and can be played across the world. Our group offers a variety of outings geared to please everyone from beginners to novice. Check out our hikes, snowshoes, x-country ski trips, kayaks, overnight camping, or wilderness restoration projects. Leaders all have experience leading trips, are knowledgeable about the environment, and have first aid training. Outings are rated easy, moderate, or strenuous to help you decide on the trip that is best for you.
